James Pyle

President & Chief Executive Officer

James Pyle serves as president and CEO of LandSouth Construction, a general contractor company specializing in multi-family construction. Pyle has more than 25 years experience in the construction and real estate industry, completing more than 12,000 units. Pyle co-founded LandSouth Construction in 1998 to develop projects including apartments, hotels, senior living, student and military housing, condominiums and townhomes. Prior to founding LandSouth Construction, Pyle worked with Vercon Construction, Inc. of South Carolina where he held executive and leadership roles, including senior vice president, vice president and project manager. Pyle was responsible for the profitable, timely and successful management of a regional operation that included Florida and Georgia and focused on multi-family and general commercial work. Pyle has also worked with Epoch Properties and Arthur Anderson & Co. Pyle received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University and has licenses as a certified building contractor in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. He is involved with HabiJax, the American Cancer Society, Clint Foundation and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. In Northeast Florida, he serves on the advisory board for Atlantic Southern Bank and is a trustee at Ponte Vedra Beach United Methodist Church.
